Join us for the 4th Annual Chanukah Latkes with Heidi and Family on Dec. 10th
Support this special cooking for a cause class with a donation
Dear Tradition Kitchens Chefs,
I'm hoping to shine some light and a bit of joy by co-hosting the 4th Annual Chanukah Latke Class with my friend Heidi and her family. This year, we've added a philanthropic element to raise funds to support Israel.
Latkes are Potato Pancakes fried in oil and served best with apple sauce or sour cream.
December 10th at 3pm PT / 6 pm ET for the virtual Zoom class.
Donate: We're asking everyone to donate a minimum of $10 to American Friends of Magen David Adom, an organization that supports emergency health and medical needs in Israel. I'm matching donations dollar for dollar up to $1000.
There are two ways to give:
Give via our Facebook Fundraiser: This donation goes directly to the organization.
Donate Directly to American Friends to MDA: Give directly on their website: * If you give this route, please forward your donation receipt to cookingwithtradition@gmail.com or reply to this email to let us know so we can match it.
RSVP Here
Shortly after RSVP and donation, you’ll receive the Zoom link to the class. It will be recorded for those who can not attend and have made a donation.

High oleic oil such as sunflower or avocado
4 large russet potatoes (around 4lb total)
1 large onion or two small onions
4 eggs
Salt and pepper
1/4 C potato starch (not mandatory but good to have on hand in case the batter is too runny)
Recommend equipment:
Cheese cloth or tea towel
Food processor with grater insert or box grater
Love this idea! Chag sameach! Wish I could join you, but I’ll definitely be frying a few latkes!
